Clerkenwell

Clerkenwell is an area of Central London in the London Borough of Islington and was once known as London's ‘Little Italy’ due to its extensive Italian population from the 1850's to the 1960's.

Today the area is popular with a range of industries, in particular, design and media companies that are attracted to the area by the converted Victorian warehouses and the relatively low rents compared with other areas of Central London. This has no doubt contributed to the fact that Clerkenwell was home to the first Gastro Pub in London back in 1991 and the area has gone on to produce some of the finest restaurants in the World.
